Dear Parents,
Welcome back! I hope everyone enjoyed the Christmas break
and is ready for a great Term 2 in 2016! Below are a few notes about the new
term regarding homework and expectations.
I am changing the format of the class’s homework this term.
The children will now receive their homework for the week on Monday and will
have until Friday to complete each part. On Friday I will collect up all parts
of their homework. I recommend that the children continue to try and complete
parts of their homework every night e.g. spellings, but I am aware of a number
of after school activities that occur on different days and this method will
allow them more time to complete their homework.
Homework that is not attempted or that is not completed to the
standard that can be achieved by your child will be sent back to be redone. I
hope this does not sound too harsh and do not expect it to be an issue in the
coming term.
The children will receive a print out of their homework on
Monday morning. They will stick this into their homework journal to be used as
a reference for the week.
Please tick each part of the homework that is complete and
sign their journal at the end of the week.
Spelling test copies will be sent home on Mondays, please
sign your child’s copy. This copy is to be brought back in on Tuesday.
If you have any questions regarding the above please email
me - belmayneetrachel@gmail.com .
Thank you for your support on this matter, wishing you all
the best for 2016,
Rachel
