Clay Artwork

For the past two months the children have been learning how to mold and sculpt clay. They have been using various different techniques i.e. coiling, pinching and blending. The children started off making clay pots, they then made some Egyptian Amulets and for their final week using clay they created their own monsters complete with character profiles! Below are a few examples of the children's work.  Well done to all on some wonderful creations!

Tables Tournament

The children of third class B have been learning a fun way to practice their multiplication tables.Working in pairs children receive a selection of playing cards. They then share them out equally among each other. Without looking at their cards the children each turn over one - the child who multiplies the two numbers together the quickest wins the card. The player with the most cards in the end wins the round. In class we had a mini tournament to see who the overall champion was. Well done to Clarissa and Darragh who both made the final. After a few tough rounds and some draws the overall champion was Clarissa! Well Done Clarissa and well done to the whole class.

Her are some pictures of the game in action:

Egyptian Projects

Third Class B worked really hard on their Egyptian projects and I was blown away by all the great work! Myself and the whole class learned lots of new and fascinating facts about Egypt and the Ancient Egypt. the girls and boys worked very hard on presentation and I seen some amazing drawings! Some even created masks and mummies for their projects.  Well done to all the girls and boys! Great Work!
